This Act and statutory guidance outline the duties of the National Improvement Framework and of education authorities to have 'due regard' to those young people from disadvantaged communities or who are experiencing poverty. This is to ensure that all learners in Scotland receive a high-quality education and have the opportunity to achieve their potential.
