The Children and Young People Act (2014) is a key piece of government legislation which ensures all children and young people have their rights met across children's services. This includes early assessment of need, appointment of a lead professional, corporate parenting and the coordination of support through the child's plan. Planning can continue to the age of 25 for care experienced young people.
